Gene Gordon joined WealthSource Partners after 14 years of working for a large broker/dealer. Gene believes that he brings a unique perspective on deepening client relationships. Gene’s father was in the business for 30 years, and Gene joined him to start his career. Gene and his father had many discussions about legacy, wealth transfer, and supporting families and clients as they begin a transition. It has been this focus on understanding family dynamics that brought Gene to believe that his work is meant to increase the conversations between family members regarding financial dreams and goals. In addition, Gene’s care for and about clients as they age is a focus of his practice.
Born and raised in Palo Alto, CA, Gene graduated college from Boston University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts, with a focus on International Relations. After college, Gene lived in New York City for eight years, working for a major lifestyle brand in their retail division. It was during this employment that Gene grew to understand the importance of care, service, and the value of interpersonal relationships.
Gene is actively involved in the community supporting and coaching little league; Gene continues to play his sport of choice, soccer, in a competitive Sunday men’s soccer league.

David has a passion for helping to improve peoples’ financial lives and advising clients on their financial futures.
Prior to joining WealthSource, David was a Workplace Planning Consultant with Fidelity Investments. He worked with 401(k) participants and helped hundreds of clients define their key retirement goals and explore appropriate strategies to reach them. His focus was primarily on savings, income, and cash flow management in the years leading up to retirement.
Previously, David was a Financial Advisor with Bank of the West, with clients throughout Northern Colorado. He specialized primarily in income planning through strategies involving investing and annuity solutions to help generate steady retirement income.
David graduated from Colorado State University, earning a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) Charterholder and member of CFA® Society Colorado. Outside of the office, David enjoys playing golf and following Denver sports. He lives in Parker, CO with his wife and their two dogs.

To qualify for this honor, firms must be independent, privately owned, for profit, and based in the U.S. with $2 million or more in revenues in 2019 and $100,000 or more in 2016, with 2019 revenue exceeding 2016 revenue.
The Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers list is produced independently by Ignites Research, a division of Money-Media, Inc., on behalf of its parent company, the Financial Times. RIA firms apply for consideration and are graded on six factors: assets under management (AUM), AUM growth rate, years in existence, advanced industry credentials of the firm’s advisers, online accessibility, and compliance records. In 2020, 760 RIA firms applied for consideration of which 39% made the final list.
