Stewart is a native of Michigan, growing up in the suburbs of Detroit. He attended Michigan State University and was a part of the Air Force ROTC program. In 2012, Stewart was commissioned into the United States Air Force and served at Hill Air Force Base in Utah along with a deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan as an Advisor for the Afghan National Police. Prior to working in the financial services industry, Stewart was a part of the University of Kansas Athletic Department and the Air Force Academy Foundation in philanthropic development. Before joining WealthSource, Stewart managed a Northwestern Mutual office in Grand Junction, CO as a Financial Advisor.
Outside of work, Stewart likes to spend time with his wife Shelbey, daughter Charlotte, and their three dogs. In addition, Stewart serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) designation teaches techniques and best practices to create sustainable streams of retirement income. To earn the designation, an individual must have the equivalent of three years of full-time, relevant business experience such as insurance and health care, financial services and employee benefits, higher education instruction, or government regulatory services and must complete a three-course college-level program offered by The American College of Financial Services (“The College”) that requires approximately 180 hours of coursework and certification examinations. To maintain their certification, individuals must complete 30 credit hours of continuing education, including one hour in ethics, and pass a recertification examination every two years in addition to recommitting to The College’s Code of Ethics and paying a recertification fee annually.
