Justin Goodbread, CFP®, CEPA, CVGA, President of WealthSource, is a nationally recognized financial planner, educator, wealth manager, author, and speaker. With over 28 years of experience starting, buying, growing, and selling businesses, Justin has a passion for helping business owners increase and manage the value of their businesses and personal assets.

In 2009, Justin opened a boutique-style wealth management and financial planning company Heritage Investors. He quickly realized his combined experience in business and wealth management provided him with the ability to help small business owners in unique and invaluable ways. In early 2022, Heritage Investors joined WealthSource Partners to support business owners nationally. Justin continues to drive WealthSource forward toward the vision of a best-in-class wealth management experience.

In 2016, Justin launched the FinanciallySimple.com enterprise including mediums such as a podcast, blog, and video educational portal to help owners navigate topics such as dealing with day-to-day business headaches and growing the sellable value of their companies. Justin's innate ability to educate in "financially simple" terms has caught the eye of several different industry organizations including the Exit Planning Institute which awarded him the 2018 Leader of the Year and 2022 Peter Christman Exit Planner of the Year, and Investopedia which has named him one of their Top 100 Financial Advisors for four consecutive years.

When he is not working with clients or farming his own land, Justin goes on adventures with his wife, two sons, and daughter. He enjoys exploring national historical sites, playing the piano and saxophone, eating pizza, and being active with the family’s church life.

The Certified Exit Planning Advisor credential is conferred by the Exit Planning Institute, Inc. To obtain the CEPA credential, an individual must complete the CEPA Program, a four-day in-person or five-day online program designed to show advisors how to help business owners align their business, personal and financial needs in the exit planning process, pass a closed book proctored examination, and pay an examination fee. In order to maintain the CEPA credential, individuals must pay an annual fee.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) owns the CFP® certification mark, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification mark, and the CFP® certification mark (with plaque design) logo in the United States, which it authorizes use of by individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.

The Certified Value Growth Advisor certification is conferred by Corporate Value Metrics. To obtain the CVGA certification, an individual must complete a five-day program focusing on best practices for businesses in eight functional categories and successfully complete an online examination.

Exit Planning Institute Leader of the Year – 2018
The Exit Planning Institute’s Leader of the Year is awarded to a nominee who is a CEPA credential holder who has made a significant impact or contribution to the exit planning profession or overall community through innovation and influence and is viewed by the Exit Planning Institute as a thought leader, risk taker and specialist while showing characteristics of collaboration.

Exit Planning Institute’s Peter Christman Exit Planner of the Year – 2022
To be eligible for the Peter Christman Exit Planner of the Year Award, nominees must hold a current CEPA certification and practice exit planning, manage exit planning engagements, educate business owners and advisors, or provide industry-changing exit planning solutions or tools that can be directly tied to changing outcomes for business owners and leading advisors. Additionally, to be selected, nominees must make significant contributions to the industry while exemplifying the core values and characteristics of the Exit Planning Institute and the CEPA designation. Neither Justin Goodbread nor WealthSource paid any fees or other consideration to secure a nomination for, or to receive, this award.

Investopedia’s Top 100 Financial Advisors — 2018-2021
Advisors who wished to be ranked in Investopedia’s Top 100 Financial Advisors list either self-submitted answers to questions compiled by Investopedia or were nominated by peers. Rankings were determined based on number of followers and engagement on social media, primary contribution to professional industry websites and their focus on financial literacy. Neither performance nor client experience, however, were considered. No compensation was paid by WealthSource Partners, LLC or Justin Goodbread to secure placement on Investopedia’s Top 100 Financial Advisors List.

Forbes Finance Council
To be eligible for membership in the Forbes Finance Council, individuals must be a senior-level executive of a financial services company and the company must generate a minimum of $1,000,000 in revenue or have a minimum of $1,000,000 in financing or the individual must have three years of experience as a publicly recognized business, leadership, career or executive coach. Individuals selected by Forbes’ internal membership-selection committee must pay an annual membership fee in order to secure their placement on the council.
